INTRODUCING
GREEN TREE FLOORING
Welcome
back to all my avid timber followers, I hope you all had a wonderful break.
Nash
Timbers are geared up for a big year, opening a new showroom, introducing new timber
floor products which will be discussed in the following newsletters.
Many thanks to all the clients
that have supported Nash Timbers and Nash Finishes over the last six years.
Without your loyalty we would not be where we are today.
The last six years has been very
exciting, exhausting, frustrating and rewarding and all these emotions have
helped build a very good business which promotes timber as number one!!!!
OPENING NEW OFFICE SHOWROOM 2010
2010 is going to be a very
exciting year for Nash Timbers as we will be opening a new office showroom at
136 Old South Head Road Vaucluse. Looking towards the middle of the year.
Clients will be able to see
various Timber Flooring & Decking on sliding sample boards, recycled timber
in situ and other timber uses.
The underground timber room will still
be used for the many clients who come and rummage through for timber samples.
The Timber presentations were
heavily supported by our clients, it is nice to be able to meet the face behind
the voice, and we will schedule new dates when the showroom opens.
Send your question
and test our knowledge!!!!!
F.A.Q
Why is my flooring growing at the
moment?
Timber is a living product and
over its life it will take up moisture and lose moisture in the environment
that it is situated. At the moment there is a lot of moisture in the air but
your flooring will settle down when the season turns drier.
This is why it is very
important to allow for movement with floorboards by always putting expansion
gaps in at least every 5 metres and ten mm under skirting board.
Also ensure that the flooring
has a very effective sub floor ventilation
OOPS!
Ply and Yellow Tongue don’t take
up moisture. These products are made from wood by products which means that it
will react like a timber floor, so allow for expansion gaps.. Also when your tradesman
are working on this surface ensure water is not split.
GREEN
TREE FLOORING
(CERTIFIED
AUSTRALIAN PLANTATION
TIMBER)
Introducing
a flooring range derived exclusively from Certified Hardwood Plantations. Green Tree Flooring is 100% Australian plantation
hardwood that not only helps protect the planet, it creates highly sort after
aesthetic flooring with a very unique, rustic look and with an abundance of
pure natural feature.
Green
Tree Flooring is available in two colour ranges;
1)
Blonde- A straw through to blonde blend with a hint of honey tones.
2)
Rose- A light to medium red with pronounced grain patterns and highlighting
features.
Green
Tree Flooring is available in one size 80mm x 19mm
Tongue and Grooved and End Matched Flooring.
Carbon
sink
Hardwood
acts as a carbon sink, absorbing up to one tonne of carbon for every cubic
metre of growth, while expelling three quarters of a tonne of oxygen at the
same time. Once harvested the carbon is locked into the hardwood making it the
lowest carbon emitting building product available.
Biofuel
Wasted
generated from the product of Green Tree Flooring is then used as a biofuel in
a local co-generation plant. This waste results in a carbon neutral substitute
for fossil fuel energy.
GREEN TREE FLOORING PROFITS
Green Tree Flooring Profits
are being invested into the further creation of Australian hardwood
Plantations, lessening the need to harvest natural growth and native.
